About our guest speaker:
Scott Brusso is a former Buddhist monk who studied under Lama Thubten Yeshe and Lama Thubten Zopa Rinpoche in Nepal and India. His spiritual journey began in the 70s while traveling through Europe and the Middle East and then eventually Nepal and Dharamshala, India where he discovered Buddhism to be the missing piece of his life. Over 7 1/2 years, he immersed himself in teachings and retreats, eventually becoming ordained by both the Junior Tutor and Senior Tutor to His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Scott then spent five years in Australia, where he was the Spiritual Director at the Chrenzig Institute in Queensland and Tara House in Melbourne. He then moved back to Chicago, where he met his wife, Lisa, started a family, and spent over 30 years in the financial industry. Now retired, he is committed to sharing the wisdom he has acquired with others.
