Sesshin is a concentrated training period, a mix of practices to “gather the heart and mind." It focuses on zazen (seated meditation) but includes calligraphy, short periods of mindful work in the zendo, formal temple-style meals (all vegetarian), dharma talks, and individual meetings with our teachers.
Sesshin is not suitable for total beginners, although practitioners with some experience from other communities are welcome to join us. If you are unsure whether you're ready for sesshin, please email us to discuss.
